The Apprentice is the entry sequence of the Door pathway — a versatile caster specializing in spatial magic, teleportation, and dimensional manipulation. Apprentices fill multiple roles depending on build: ranged DPS through Spatial Cut, team utility through Portal creation, and personal survival through Blink dodges. This flexibility makes the Apprentice popular among experienced MMO players who dislike being locked into one role. Portal abilities also make the Apprentice the fastest pathway for open-world exploration, since you can create shortcuts through otherwise impassable terrain. In group content, a skilled Apprentice controls positioning for the entire party.

Blink is a short-range teleport that passes through thin walls and dodges ground-targeted attacks — low cooldown, high skill ceiling. Spatial Cut fires a dimensional slash at range, dealing damage that ignores a portion of enemy armor; it is your primary DPS ability. Portal creates a two-way gateway between two points for thirty seconds, allowing your entire party to bypass obstacles or escape dangerous areas. Astral Barrier projects a temporary wall that blocks projectiles and slows enemies who walk through it — critical for defending casters during boss fights.

Split stat focus between Intelligence (for Spatial Cut damage) and Spatial Attunement (for Blink range and Portal duration). Early gear should prioritize cooldown reduction on spatial abilities. The Doorwalker's Focus set is the standard mid-game choice, boosting Blink charges by one.
