Lord of Mysteries F2P & Low-Spend Guide (2026) — Currency, Vitality & Day-4 Spike
How free-to-play and low-spend players progress in Lord of Mysteries: the currency system, vitality plan, dual-plane farming, auction-house pitfalls, and the level-56 power spike.
Step 1 · Currency System & Boundaries
Three currencies, three jobs. Spend each only where it actually pays off.
Bound Fate Stones
Do NOT gacha for puppets. Pre-Seq.4, feed potion promotion. Use Bonds (connections) first — a maxed bond beats any single puppet. Pick Sylvia as your universal puppet: team-wide damage, the top F2P choice.
Sule (tradeable)
In the auction house, only bid on brooches and rings (low-drop slots). Never buy inflated low-tier Beyonder materials — open-beta dungeons drop them steadily.
Faction Contribution
Shop priority: Vitality Potions > Reforge Materials > Potion Aids. Never trade contribution for transitional gold gear — the value is terrible.

Step 2 · Vitality Plan
Below level 30: bank all Vitality, do only the forced Vitality tasks. Level 30–50: spend it on potion-material dungeons to fill sequence promotion. After 50: open high-tier gear chests and farm Beyonder-material dungeons. In the open beta, hold Vitality until after level 56 to open the level-60 gear chests — blowing it early causes a late-game cliff.

Step 3 · Surface & Dark-World Dual Planes
The Surface is ordinary Tingen; the Dark World is the spirit-realm distortion zone, with fully independent quests and chests. When the main story stalls, switch to the Dark World — many Roleplay Commissions and Beyonder-material chests refresh there. The Dark World drains Sanity, so don't linger; keep Calming Potions and run 2–3 events a day.

Step 4 · Auction-House Pitfalls
In the first 3 days after launch, Beyonder-material prices are artificially high — wait for them to fall before buying. Only bid on the low-drop slots (brooches, rings) that dungeons rarely drop.

Step 5 · Day-4 Power Spike (Level 56)
Level 56 unlocks the big early power jump. The F2P power-line pass mark is 32k; spenders target 36k. Farm 'Black Bramble: Traces of the Dead' (steady level-60 base gear), 'Inheritance of Memory: Bonnie' (charm 'Crimson Embers'), and 'Antignus' Notes' (output ~4000 DPS for a chance at level-60 branded gold gear — brooch 'Lingering Ring', hat 'Restless Sting', cape 'Jester's Mockery'; a 6-run pity guarantees one). Open chests until your whole set hits level 60. Weekly shop must-buys: Recalled Mimicry, History Beacon, Beyonder Material, Gold Spin Thread. Then second-tier enhance everything and synthesize affixes (damage: skill amp / crit / crit-dmg / armor-break; tank: HP / defense / damage-reduction). Raise your puppet (Sylvia first, to lvl 13) and push one Bond to max.

Step 6 · The F2P Iron Triangle
Warrior + Spectator + Hermit covers tank, heal, and damage — the universal open-world and dungeon comp for limited budgets.
Frequently Asked
- Q1.Should F2P players gacha for puppets?
- No — don't spend Bound Fate Stones on pulls. Prioritize Bonds; pick Sylvia as the universal puppet.
- Q2.Why not open chests early with Vitality?
- Blowing Vitality early causes a late-game cliff. Bank it until level 56 to open level-60 gear chests for the best return.
- Q3.What power should I hit by day 4?
- Around level 56, the F2P pass mark is 32k; spenders target 36k.
- Q4.Can I stay long in the Dark World?
- It continuously drains Sanity. Carry Calming Potions and run only 2–3 events a day.
