Lord of Mysteries May Manor Raid Guide: 12-Player Mechanics

May Manor is the first 12-player raid in the Lord of Mysteries MMO. The Castle wing runs two encounters back to back — the Offspring Projection in a scorched arena, then the Anthea & Mr. Barney marionette duel in the ballroom — before the group splits the loot through the in-game Great Auction.

Every frame below is captured from a real 12-player clear. Community-tested numbers (the 11k dummy DPS gate, the 20% HP-per-second trap) are marked as such, and each step links deep into the source footage at the exact moment the mechanic happens.

Key Takeaways & Golden Rules

  • ◆Gate yourself before queuing: the community benchmark is ≥11k DPS on the training dummy (community-tested figure).
  • ◆Orange circles mean split into your two pre-assigned teams, stack to share the hit, then spread out immediately.
  • ◆Phase 2: gather on the preset marker and burn the core first — missing the timer instantly kills everyone in range.
  • ◆A Crimson War notification is the healer's cue: collapse to one spot for the map-wide heal.
  • ◆Whoever holds add aggro (red line) kites the add into a trap and uses the dropped bell; aberrant adds are always first priority.
  • ◆Gear drops are distributed by the Great Auction group auction — decide your bidding plan before the boss dies.

CHALLENGING Mechanics? Lord of Mysteries RAID with Players MMORPG

Assemble twelve and check the DPS gate

May Manor is the game's first 12-player raid, and the group frames in the footage show the full two-column roster of twelve with a resurrection count on the side. Before you queue, do an honest dummy check: the community benchmark for this raid is around 11k DPS on the training dummy, and groups below it tend to run out of time on the enrage (community-tested figure, not an official requirement).

Offspring Projection: phase one is dodge and cleave

The opening encounter is the Offspring Projection in a cracked red arena. Phase one is deliberately simple: pump the boss, sidestep the red telegraphs, and pick up the summoned adds — an Earth Golem joins the fight while the boss counts down toward Berserk, so the group should cleave adds down without slowing boss damage.

Orange circles: split into two teams and soak together

When the large orange circle lands, the game itself tells you what to do: split into two teams and gather inside to share the damage. Assign the two soak groups before the pull — the community guide recommends deciding in advance who stacks where, because hesitating on the way in is how people die to a shared hit meant for six.

Then spread — overlapping soaks multi-hit

Sharing the hit is only half the mechanic. As soon as the soak lands, get out of each other's circles: the community guide stresses that standing in overlapping orange zones takes the damage multiple times. The frames here catch the moment the shared hit lands — 2129 damage split across the stacked team — right before everyone peels off.

Earth Fission: keep moving through the chained ground casts

Between soaks the Projection chains ground casts — Earth Fission rips fissures across the arena while the raid keeps uptime. Don't greed a cast bar over a glowing crack; the community guide's general warning for this raid is that its mechanics are more time-sensitive than most MMOs in the genre, and the adds from step two keep pressuring the healers throughout.

Phase two: gather on the marker and destroy the core — or wipe

Before the pull, the raid leader must place a gathering marker on the core your team will focus in phase two. When the phase begins, everyone stacks on that preset point and burns the core down first: if it is not destroyed in time, it instantly kills whoever is inside its range. Reposition quickly afterwards, because the boss follows the core phase with a melee attack.

  7. 07

Crimson War notification: collapse for the map-wide heal

When the Crimson War notification appears, the whole raid gathers in one spot — this is the healer's window to top the entire group with a map-wide heal. It is the same discipline as the orange-circle soak: pre-assigned spot, everyone in, no stragglers. The community guide lists missing this collapse as one of the quiet run-killers in this fight.

Add duty: kite into traps, ring the bell, kill the aberrant first

The boss periodically spawns smaller creatures. If a red line connects you to one, you have aggro: kite it around until a trap appears, drag the creature inside, and use the bell that drops from it — that is the intended way to neutralize the add. The moment an aberrant spawns, the whole raid switches to it before anything else. Watch your feet, too: players caught in a trap lose 20% of their HP every second inside it (community-tested figure).

Free the puppeted pair, then stack as one for the triple charge

From the mid-fight onward the boss traps two players at a time — call out the cages and swap damage onto them immediately to break the pair free. Soon after, the boss spawns three creatures that charge the team in sequence: the counter-play is to stand on a single point before the charges come so the whole raid sidesteps together, instead of being scattered into overlapping lanes.

Anthea & Mr. Barney: the ballroom reuses the soak, faster

Past the Projection, the raid moves into the manor proper for the second encounter: the Anthea & Mr. Barney marionette duel (objective: Defeat Believer Number One). The ballroom version of the orange circle reads Gather around the targeted teammate to share the damage together — same rule as before, now with a dual boss splitting the raid's attention between two health bars.

Puppet Show: break the strings before the raid turns on itself

Anthea periodically casts Puppet Show — her own line makes the threat explicit: you come be Anthea's puppet. Tethered players are briefly turned against the group; everyone else should stop hits on the boss and break the puppets out before the strings resolve. Note how the frame shows Mr. Barney already down to 30% while Anthea is still near full: your raid should agree on a kill order and stick to it.

Countdown phase: sprint the rings to the finish line

Late in the ballroom fight the arena shifts to a chase sequence: glowing blue rings trace a route across the floor while the game counts down and tells you to run to the finish line quickly. Anthea hunts the stragglers — the on-screen warning literally says she is going to catch up — so save a mobility skill for the last stretch and don't stop to cast.

Great Auction: how the raid actually splits its loot

May Manor gear does not drop straight into bags — the clear opens the Great Auction. Every piece and material goes on the group's auction list (the footage shows Cocoon Silk climbing past 960,000 while Defensive Materials sit at their 10,000 starting bids), and players bid against each other, pass, or pre-bid. Agree on loot rules before the run so the auction is a formality, not a fight.

Victory: damage title, resurrection count, and the final split

Believer Number One falls and the raid gets its Bright Star damage summary along with the remaining resurrection count — the footage's clear had several revives left to spare, which is the margin you want on a first kill. The distribution window then hands out the boxes and materials; rolls and passes resolve automatically once every lot is decided.

Inspect before you bid: what raid gear looks like

Before the lots close it is worth inspecting the actual items. The recording's owner opens the Wear panel to examine an Invisible Prophecy +3 cane — a level-84 weapon with damage-boost dungeon perks and skill enhancement rolls — the tier of gear May Manor's Great Auction moves between players. Knowing the stats stops you from over-bidding on a sidegrade.

Same tier, other wing: Antigonus Ray and the sanity clown

The other level-52 endgame encounter your raid will meet in this tier is Antigonus Ray. At 80% HP the boss spawns a clown that walks toward the center of your team every 20–30 seconds and strips sanity from anyone caught nearby — the tank and whoever holds aggro must rotate the boss around the room so the DPS never stands between the clown and the boss (community-tested timings).

  17. 17

Antigonus Ray, phase two: maze, lasers, and black holes

In phase two the arena becomes a maze — run the corridors to the green safe area, then resume damage. Complications stack up: a second clown spawns that repositions every 10–15 seconds (twice as fast as the first), the boss fires a laser the rest of the raid must dodge behind the tank, and black holes teleport anyone they touch back to the maze start. Keep rotating the boss away from both clowns until the final burn.

May Manor Raid — Frequently Asked Questions

Q1.How many players is the May Manor raid, and at what level?
It is the game's first 12-player raid. The footage on this page shows a level-69 group clearing May Manor · Castle on Normal difficulty, with the full two-column, twelve-player raid frame visible throughout.
Q2.What DPS should my group have before attempting May Manor?
The community benchmark is roughly 11k DPS on the training dummy per damage dealer before you queue (community-tested figure). The final phase is a hard HP race — the source clear finished with about a minute to spare even after a clean run.
Q3.How do the large orange circles work?
They are shared-damage soaks. The in-game prompt says to split into two teams and gather inside the circle; the damage is then divided across everyone standing in it. Spread out immediately after it resolves, because overlapping circles hit you multiple times.
Q4.What happens if we fail to destroy the phase-two core in time?
The core instantly kills everyone within its range when its timer expires. That is why the raid leader places a gathering marker on the chosen core before the pull: the whole team collapses to that point the moment phase two begins and burns the core first.
Q5.How does loot distribution work in the 12-player raid?
Through the Great Auction group auction. Every drop goes onto an auction list and players bid, pre-bid, or pass; materials like Defensive Material start at 10,000 while contested pieces can climb into the hundreds of thousands. Set your bidding rules before the fight, not during it.
Q6.How is May Manor different from the 6-player party dungeon?
Scale and timing. May Manor is a 12-player raid with shared soaks, core timers, and add coordination across two encounters plus an auction phase, while the 6-player party dungeon is a single-arena party challenge. If you are newer to group content, start with the party dungeon guide and come back here for the raid.
